LLOYD WOOLF IS BROADCAST HOTSHOT

Hats off to Lloyd Woolf who has been announced as a Broadcast ‘Hot Shot’ for 2011 for his comedy writing! Broadcast Magazine uncovers young industry names making their mark.

The Broadcast Article:

Lloyd Woolf and Joe Tucker, 29
Comedy Writers, freelance

Lloyd and Joe are currently developing a parenting sitcom for Sky 1 HD, a commission won purely on the quality of their pilot script in a notoriously hard market to crack. Ben Farrell, head of comedy at Objective Productions, says: “They are a leading part of the new wave of writers needed to reinvigorate British comedy.”

As a writer/performer, Lloyd is a stand-up comic and part of the Cowards sketch group, which has notched up a Radio 4 series, a BBC web series and a BBC4 TV series.

As a writer/director, Joe has written sketches for Horrible Histories and BBC Online, as well as writing and directing short films. Scouting For Rudeboys and How Much For My Brother have won numerous awards, including the RTS Best Student Animation and the Sundance Short Filmmaking Award, both in 2008.
