Rebecca Shorrocks trained as an actress at Guildford School of Acting, whilst there she received the Principal's Award in both 2003 and 2004.

She began her career in a National tour for Polka Theatre & Watershed. She went on to tour with Nottingham Playhouse and in various shows at Theatres such as Lyric Hammersmith, Theatre Royal Margate and in Smaller scale tours around the country.

Having always had a niche for the comedy roles, she began co-writing and devising her own comedy called Triple Threat, a reality TV spoof, which had sell out runs in London at The Pleasance and The Etcetera Theatre, followed by a successful run at The Gilded Balloon in Edinburgh 2007.

"If only the actual reality TV shows contained as much character and appeal as the cast here." Three Weeks

Through this, Rebecca's passion for comedy developed and she began running and co-hosting  her own comedy cabaret night, Cabarera, London's only era themed comedy night.

She also began working with her husband Paul F Taylor in the sketch duo Short & Curly and they have had successful runs in Edinburgh with their debut show Short & Curly: A Captive Audience in 2012, Short & Curly: A Ripe Pear in 2013. Short & Curly: Who Dunnit? In 2014, A Curly Night In in 2016 and their latest, most successful show to date Short & Curly: Young At Start in 2018.

Rebecca has been repeatedly asked back due to popular demand to The Playhouse Whitley Bay for their Panto Seasons and in 2016 Short & Curly made their Panto debut in their production of Aladdin.

“The excellent Rebecca Shorrocks returns, this time as half of an inept police double act with her real-life comedy partner - and husband - Paul F Taylor. The pair take every opportunity to milk the laughs with routines with slapstick at their heart.” The Chronicle

"Rebecca Shorrocks as Muddles’ equally dumb sidekick Odd Job was exceptional." Sunderland Echo/Hartlepool Mail

"A very talented Rebecca Shorrocks as the daft and friendly Odd Job. In not always reading the situation right, Rebecca frequently gave everyone someone to laugh with."North East Theatre Guide

"Rebecca Shorrocks shines" The British Theatre Guide

"The entire cast are wonderful, but a couple of other stand out performances this year come from Jeremy Edwards as Gaston and Rebecca Shorrocks as Le Shue - they work particularly well together as a double act, and spark off each other nicely... Rebecca Shorrocks not only plays La Shue, but also Candlestick, and inhabits both roles completely (it took me a while to be sure it was the same person) - it was no surprise for me to read in the programme that outside of panto-land she's a character comic." Panto Travels
