Matt is a sought-after writer and performer, who landed his first writing job on BBC Radio 4’s award winning ‘Listen Against’. In 2014 his co-written sitcom ‘Wasted’ was optioned by Retort (Fremantle Media), Matt has also since written for The News Quiz, HIGNFY, been one of the head writers for a sketch show pilot for Audible UK, and on the writing team for the Rinderland Channel 4 pilot for SO Television.
He is currently working with the internationally renowned Framestore on a project for TruTV in the US. He was one of the writing team on Charlie Brooker’s BAFTA nominated ‘Election Wipe’ in 2015.
With a background in production at BBC Radio, he is ideally positioned to understand the inner workings of a show, and his love and knowledge of comedy is such that he can adapt his style to suit a broad range of formats, disciplines, and comedians.
As a performer – he acted alongside John Kearns, Greg James, Jenny Bede and Olivia Lee in a sketch show pilot for Audible, providing many of the voices. In 2017 he began working with Shortlist Media's new video channel as a writer and a performer links to the videos can be found below.
